D. William Brooke
Dandridge William Brooke graduated from Loyola Blakefield in Towson with a Headmaster's award in excellence. He also graduated from Loyola University in Baltimore with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications. Bill attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, served as a prosecutor and later as a judge on the Honor Court, and was an Assistant Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Forum publication. He was admitted to the practice of Law in 1982 and began his legal career as a litigation attorney with O'Doherty Gallagher and Nead. Since then Bill has built his own practice in Towson, served as the Executive Director of the Baltimore County Ethics Commission, served as a member of the Baltimore City Mayoral Legislation Task Force, and worked as the Managing Attorney of one of the five largest international insurance companies where he litigated and supervised the trial defense of professional malpractice cases throughout the State of Maryland and Washington, D.C. He has received national awards for the quality of his work and is rated B-V by Martindale Hubble Law Directory, a widely consulted national directory of attorneys possessing superior effectiveness and ethics in the opinions of their peers.
Bill's practice includes professional liability and commercial litigation, insurance law, arbitration, estate litigation and administration, regulatory, administrative, and appellate law. Bill is an Eagle Scout, past President of the Ancient and Honorable Mechanical Company of Baltimore, past Vice President of the Maryland Lupus Foundation, life member of The Society of the War of 1812, and likewise a life member of the Navy League. He continues to serve as a captain in the Maryland Defense Force, a military unit which supports the needs of our soldiers and others.
